Author: V. S, Nelson

Paperback: 544 pages

  • Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (April 27, 2013)

Blurb:

Second volume in the series. Raphael discovers he is not crazy after all. The voices he hears belong to Jessica, Jennifer's sister. With each passing day Jessica’s consciousness grew stronger. For twenty years she was content to remain as she was—trapped inside another. The life she led came to an abrupt end the moment she laid eyes on Raphael. At first she suspected they were destined to be together--his gentle touch confirmed it. Although he didn’t know it, he ignited waves of a fiery passion that burned deep into her soul. It became brighter every day, giving her the strength she needed. Somehow she would find a way to free herself from her grandmother’s powerful magic.

The Review:

Eternal Nights is the second book in this series- I had not read the first book when I was given this copy-so my review is on this book only. I found that Eternal Nights a good book as a stand-alone book but I am sure if you had read the first one some of the confusion of characters would have been smother. But the author did a great job explaining characters and the plot of the book even if this was a first book for you. Our main story centers around Raphael and the wolf Nowaki-with Jessica spirit living inside the wolf.Rapheal is visited in his dream by a woman who he falls in love with and he knows that is his mate. But as this dream evolves he later finds out from Jennifer that her sisters has been living and communicating inside of Nowaki. After many twist and turns Jennifer separates Jessica and Nowaki and Raphael gets to be with his intended mate.
Eternal Nights has a main story but a great many sub plots and characters running through the book. The author gives us a taste of the other Guardians POV as they tackle there important job protecting humans from the bad guys and trying to live a normal life. I am sure some of the new pairings in this book will be seen in future books and look forward to reading more about our Guardians of Sekhmets I. I would definitely recommend this to any paranormal fan looking for something different. This book has Native American magic-Egyptian-Shifter and vampires in this book –a little something for all paranormal readers.
